When I spent last summer at Columbia U in New York, I was stunned to see the size of the mausoleum bearing the remains of Ulysses S. Grant, one of the most unremarkable presidents resting in one of the most remarkable monuments in the country--a mini Capitol rotunda bulging from the shores of Riverside Park.
